This is the newly opened Espace Arthur Masson, a museum that invites you to immerse yourself in the past and journey back in time through picturesque villages. And not just in any old way, thank you! These are authentic legendary saloon cars, superb iconic models from the 1930s to the 1950s, taking you on a journey into the past. So sit back in your classic car, admire the interior and enjoy a comfortable bench seat like no other. Your driver, also wearing period costume, will give you a sign and... That's it, you're off!
Your journey back in time begins
The engine whirs and you are off to discover charming villages, some of the most beautiful in Wallonia. Small screens at the front and rear of the vehicle immerse you in the history of the villages through period photos and old postcards. And if you listen carefully, you will hear anecdotes and literary extracts from the work of the Walloon author, Arthur Masson. They will transport you into the past of every place you see. The images on screen also help you to discover panoramic views, enchanting places to visit or places that are inaccessible by car, but have been filmed by drones.
A multi-sensory experience
This is more than an experience: you are totally immersed in the past. There’s so much to see. “Oohs" will escape from your mouth at any moment, so transported are you by what you see and experience. As well as all there is to experience inside the car; the suspension, the comfort of the seat, the unique smells, there is also everything to enjoy through the windows, where landscapes pass by as if time had stopped... When you arrive back, your eyes will be shining with emotion, wonder and discovery.
